Who doesn’t love a delicious meal paired with the perfect drink? At Sugar Land Town Square, there are a handful of restaurants serving up delicious cuisines with amazing drink selections. Below is a list of some of the top places you can find great food and drinks in the heart of the “Sweetest City in Texas.” Not sure what to order? Don’t worry, we’ve narrowed down a “must try” item at each location.
$$$ │ Steakhouse, New American
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille can be the perfect date night restaurant or a place to enjoy great food and drinks with your friends. With an extensive wine selection and diverse menu, diners will be able to enjoy an abundance of food pairings that will keep you coming back for more. Perry’s is known for their out-of-this-world pork chops, but if you’re up for a challenge we recommend their double-cut lamb chops paired with a cabernet sauvignon.
$$ │ New American
Vino & Vinyl is a west coast driven wine bar with a 150-bottle wine list and specializes in a small production and artisan wines from California. Additionally, their food menu features small plates like au jus beef sliders, fried risotto, and grilled octopus alongside an assortment of charcuterie boards and entrees. The place is ideal for a couple, sommelier, small groups, or just avid wine enthusiasts looking for a relaxing night out. Pro tip: Try their wine flights which can be perfectly paired with all their dishes all while listening to soothing tunes. One of our favorite pairings is their black truffle mac and cheese and a glass of Pozzan pinot noir.
$$ │ Seafood
Fish City Grill is a seafood restaurant that checks off the relaxed and fun atmosphere. With a surprisingly extensive wine and cocktail menu, diners can grab a drink and chow down on the restaurant’s array of fresh seafood. Our recommendation is to give the oyster nachos and strawberry basil martini a try.
$$ │ Cajun/Creole
Experience a taste of New Orleans at The Rouxpour. Boasting a bar with plenty of counter space, patio seating, and a cozy interior, The Rouxpour transports you to a dining experience like no other. You can enjoy Cajun favorites like chicken and sausage gumbo, red beans and rice, and etouffee, but you would be remised if you did not try their signature chargrilled oysters. Pair it with a glass of their Louisiana Peach Tea and it’s a perfect match made in heaven.
$$ │ Tex-Mex
Usually, when people think of Texas cuisine two things come to mind, barbeque and Tex-Mex. Escalante’s is the perfect spot to satisfy your Tex-Mex appetite and serves up freshly made tortillas, table-side guacamole, and staples like enchiladas, flautas de pollo, and tamales. Stop by and get your curb your cravings with nachos and a frozen margarita for less than $10!
