Something special with my youngest daughter that didn't involve flying or driving too far. So what better way to do that than with a magical Mommy and Me holiday staycation in Sugar Land, Texas? Nestled in the heart of the Lone Star State, Sugar Land offers a variety of delightful experiences for families to cherish. This hotel boasts stylishly appointed rooms and suites, each designed to provide the utmost relaxation and sophistication. We stayed on the 8th floor in a newly renovated room. The 8th floor also has a concierge suite which is included with certain rooms. 

The Marriott's commitment to excellence shines through its top-notch amenities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a huge pool and hot tub. Whether guests are unwinding in the inviting common areas or hosting events in the hotel's expansive and versatile meeting spaces, the Houston Marriott Sugar Land offers a haven of luxury and hospitality, making every stay an unforgettable experience. Things To Do



Cullinan Park: Want to enjoy the outdoors? Head to Cullinan Park where you can experience 750 acres including an observation deck that my daughter and I loved. The panoramic views of nature are breathtaking and also provide an excellent opportunity for some scenic photos with your little one.

Welcome to Sugar Land Mural: This mural is on the side of the city hall building at Sugar Land Town Square. If you are looking at the building, the mural will be located on the right side of the building, next to the parking lot. It’s a fun Instagram spot to capture an image with your loved one. Go Ape: Get your adrenaline pumping with an adventurous visit to Go Ape. The treetop adventure course is located inside Brazos River Park and will provide exciting challenges and moments to bond as you navigate through the course together. 

Sugar Land Holiday Lights: As the day winds down, immerse yourselves in the twinkling wonderland of Sugar Land Holiday Lights. This festive display is at Constellation Field. The baseball field is transformed by over 3 million lights into a magical wonderland of lights. A visit here will be sure to ignite the holiday spirit and create beautiful memories.

Perry’s Steakhouse: Perry’s Steakhouse, offers an elegant dining experience with its upscale ambiance but is still very family friendly. Situated in the heart of Town Square and walkable from the Houston Marriott Sugar Land. The steaks are cooked to perfection and complemented by delicious sides and fine wines. Perry's Steakhouse in Sugar Land stands out as a premier destination for indulging in top-tier steaks and a refined dining experience. 

Toast Restaurant: Toast is a charming and vibrant cafe known for its inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service. The cafe has a cozy ambiance with amble natural lighting. Grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee and try one of their freshly baked pastries like their famous "cronuts" which are croissant donuts. The menu boasts an array of options, from hearty breakfast dishes like avocado toast, waffles, fluffy pancakes to savory lunch items like gourmet sandwiches and burgers. 

BB Italia Bistro and Bar: BB Italia Bistro and Bar is an Italian family friendly restaurant located in Town Square. You can easily walk to the restaurant from the Houston Marriott Sugar Land and they are open for lunch and dinner. Their menu consists of seafood, pasta, pizzas and so much more.

Mtea & Coffee: Kickstart your day with a cup of Mtea & Coffee at one of Sugar Land's quaint coffee spots. A cozy café offering an extensive selection of brewed coffees, teas, frappes, smoothies, and Boba. Be sure to try their bubble waffle! 

Haraz Coffeehouse: Haraz Coffeehouse is a cultural gem, embodying the essence of Middle Eastern charm. The baristas craft each cup with precision and expertise, offering a rich and flavorful experience. From light to dark roasts that go perfectly with their pastries like chocolate chip cookies, or chocolate croissants.
