Starting at 7:30 pm, the smooth rhythms and passionate vocals will transport you through decades of soul music’s finest moments. From heart-stirring ballads to electric energy, these talented performers will bring the magic of Motown and the raw emotion of Memphis soul right to the heart of Sugar Land.
Bring your dancing shoes and join the community for an unforgettable evening of music, movement, and meaning. This free, family-friendly event isn’t just a concert – it’s a tribute to the enduring legacy of soul music and its profound impact on American culture.
Spread a blanket on the lawn, grab a bite from one of our local eateries, and come be part of this special evening that celebrates the incredible contributions of Black artists to America’s musical heritage.

- Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets. Please be courteous of others when choosing your space.
- An SLTS restaurant will be set up in the Plaza for guests to purchase food and beverages.
- Outside food (from non-Sugar Land Town Square businesses) is discouraged.
- Coolers of any kind are not permitted at this event.
