Labor Day in Sugar Land, TX  


Labor Day is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September, but it’s also an opportunity families use to spend time together during a three or four day weekend. As we gear up for the fall we have a handful of reasons as to why you should celebrate Labor Day weekend in the “Sweetest City in Texas” before pumpkin carving season creeps up on us.

Town Square Tribute: Queen Cover

7:30-9:30 p.m.  

Head out to Sugar Land Town Square for a Queen tribute series, that will make you feel like you’re watching the real thing. On Friday, August 30, Baroness will deliver a one-of-a kind performance including  top hits such as, Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Under Pressure, Hammer to Fall, Don’t Stop Me Now, and more!

Sugar Land Skeeters vs. High Point Rockers 

August 30 – September 1 

Experience more than just baseball during this Labor Day weekend at Constellation Field any day this weekend and cheer on the Sugar Land Skeeters. Be sure to check their schedule for giveaways and post-game fireworks.

Labor Day Backyard Bash 

George Ranch Historical Park  

August 31 

10 a.m. - 5 p.m.  

Spend the weekend playing traditional games and listening to period music on a vintage radio at the 1930s George Ranch House. Starting at 11 a.m. you can help make ice cream the old-fashioned way and celebrate the American worker.

7:30 – 9:30 p.m. 

Get a chance to be a star for the day at Sugar Land Town Square’s Sing-A-Long-Karaoke. Warm up those vocals chords and sing your heart out on the big stage. Grab your family and friends and prepare to have an evening filled with great music and ambiance. Additionally, Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co. A local favorite will be serving beer and wine for $5 each.

Do you enjoy strolling through farmers markets and checking out their seasonal produce? If so, you must stop by the  Farmers Market at Imperial, which is situated in Old Sugar Land and happens every Saturday. On Sundays stop by the Farmers Market Partners, right outside of Mercer Stadium near Lexington Blvd. and the Sugar Land Ice and Sports  Center.
