If so, we invite you to become a part of the Sugar Land Local Ambassador Program, an exciting initiative aimed at training individuals through immersive experiences to become advocates for our thriving local tourism industry.

As an ambassador, you will have the opportunity to explore and understand how tourism plays an integral role in our city's economic development, cultural preservation, and overall vitality. Through a series of engaging experiences, you will gain in-depth knowledge and skills to effectively promote and support tourism in Sugar Land.

Program Highlights

1. Interactive Experiences: You will delve into the various facets of Sugar Land's tourism industry, including historical landmarks, cultural centers, events, and local businesses. Engaging experiences and hands-on activities will guide you through the essentials of becoming an effective ambassador.

2. Behind-the-Scenes Access: Experience exclusive tours of renowned attractions, hotels, restaurants, and our entertainment venue, providing you with unique insights into the inner workings of the city's tourism infrastructure. Connect with industry professionals and learn from their experiences firsthand!

3. Immersive Experiences: Participate in festivals, community events, and guided tours designed to enhance your understanding of the local culture, traditions, and hospitality. These experiences will enrich your knowledge and enable you to share authentic stories and experiences with visitors.

4. Networking Opportunities: Collaborate and build lasting connections with fellow ambassadors, your local tourism organization: Visit Sugar Land, and influential community leaders. Engage in the curated experiences and expand your network to open doors for future opportunities.

5. Impactful Projects: Put your newfound knowledge and passion for Sugar Land to work by enhancing the resident and visitor experience. From marketing initiatives to community outreach programs, you will have the chance to make a real difference in the growth and success of our city's tourism sector. 

Details

• Participate in ten curated experiences from April - October 2024.
• Experiences will last 1-2 hours and will happen two times a month.
• You must have a vehicle or mode of transportation to attend the experiences. 
• You must be willing to post about the amazing activities we'll be engaging in!
• At the end of the program, you will receive a local ambassador recognition and certificate.
• After program completion, you will be featured on the Visit Sugar Land website as a local ambassador.
• You'll have the privilege to participate as a Visit Sugar Land contributor on the blog in 2024
• You must complete nine of the ten experiences to be featured.
