Southland Baseball Tournament: May 22 – 25

Wednesday, May 22 - Saturday, May 25

The double-elimination Southland Conference Baseball Tournament, scheduled for May 22-25, will feature the league's top eight teams and conclude with a winner-take-all championship game May 25 at 6 p.m. CT. The winner of the tournament will receive the Southland's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

15th Annual Spring Corvette Car Show

The Corvette Owners Club of Houston presents the 15th Annual Spring Charity Corvette Car Show! Enjoy more than 100 Corvettes, plus you can vote for the winner of the People's Choice Award. Sugar Land Town Square is turning the Plaza into one big backyard party, so come hang out and have some fun with family and friends. Jupiter Pizza & Waffles Co. will be serving beer and wine for $5, and we’ll have lawn games setup! Plus, enjoy live music from Shotgun Road, a country group that plays the biggest and best country hits from yesterday and today, as well as original music.

So much fun was had last year, so it's happening again! Come enjoy a fun, family-friendly event for all ages. Explore NEO's interactive campsite with tents, games, friendly competitions, and even a lawn fishing tournament. Let the kids practice casting a fishing line while they learn about native Texas fish. Learn the right way to wear a life vest while checking out kayaks and hybrid paddle boards. Just coming for the fun? Play lifesize games like 2x4 Jenga, KerPlunk, and Connect Four or relax on the lawn with a game of checkers. There will also be live music from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Everyone had so much fun the last 2 years, it is now a tradition! Pack up your chairs and head to the Plaza to enjoy snacks and brews from Baker St. Pub & Grill and live country music from Tribute to George Strait to round out your Fourth of July weekend! Having spent time at the Grand Ole Opry, Derek Spence shared the stage with folks including Shania Twain, Diamond Rio, Kenny Rogers, Trisha Yearwood, and Restless Heart. Not only does he sing George’s tunes, but he also looks like him, too!

Sugar Land Superstar Auditions

5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Sugar Land’s American Idol-like competition is back for its 14th year to showcase local talent with open Superstar auditions! The 2019 winner will receive a prize package featuring items from Town Square retailers and the opportunity to perform live at future events.  All participants should be prepared to sing for 60 to 90 seconds without musical accompaniment.  In addition, contestants must be over 14 years of age and residents of Fort Bend County to be eligible for competition.

This vocal battle show is 14 years and running, so be sure to bring your lawn chairs to the Plaza and enjoy Sugar Land’s American Idol-like competition as the finalists belt out their strongest tunes.  Tonight’s Superstar is the Finale and one lucky winner will be named the 2019 Sugar Land Superstar!
