In search of a fun-filled weekend to end the month of April? Visit “The Sweetest City in Texas” this weekend and experience the perfect getaway with your friends, family, or even if you are flying solo.
Day 1: Friday, April 26, 2019
By this time, you are all checked into your hotel and ready to take on the day by exploring what the “Sweetest City in Texas” has to offer. Start off by exploring The Whimsy World, a color crazed art exhibit with larger-than-life installations, fun-house-esque vibes, and frenzied patterns by artist Shelbi Nicole. The Whimsy World will brighten up your Instagram profile with unique backdrops and killer poses. After, you’re done flooding your feed with sweet shots head out to Jupiter Pizza & Waffles Co. for their signature chicken and waffles. If you want to try our diverse cuisine head out to Japaneiro’s Sushi Bistro & Latin Cuisine or Nirmanz Food Boutique, a local favorite. You are on vacation and it only makes sense to try a Signature CroCrea such as the Breakfast of Champions at Churned Creamery, made up of Nutella ice cream, bananas, Can ‘N Crunch, and Nutella sauce sandwiched in a croissant. Cap off the evening by catching the Celtic Women performance at the Smart Financial Centre. Celtic Woman celebrates Ireland's rich musical and cultural heritage while continuing its remarkable legacy of introducing some of Ireland's most talented singers and musicians onto the world stage.

Day 2: Saturday, April 27
Are you ready for day two? Re-charge yourself with a delicious brunch from The Roof on the Lake, First Watch, The Toasted Yolk, or Jupiter and Waffle, Co. just in case you didn’t have a chance to go there. After brunch, head to the Crown Festival Park for the International Arts Festival to celebrate the diversity in cultures within the community. For a late lunch or dinner, head to Lake Pointe Town Center and indulge in some juicy Korean double-fried chicken from Bonchon, or from other nearby restaurants ranging from Churrascos, Torchy’s Tacos, and Pacific Coast Tacos. To end your day catch a ball game at Constellation field and watch the Sugar Land Skeeters take on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs!
Day 3: Sunday, April 28
Start your Sunday morning taking a Yoga class at YES Yoga or break a sweat while spinning at Revolution Studio. After your class head to Vino and Vinyl for brunch and indulge in their brunch changer dishes and satisfy your sweet tooth with their Crème brûlée French toast. Then visit one of our beautiful Sugar Land Parks for a sweet outdoor adventure. Walk the trails, go bird watching, fishing, even bring along a furry friend to play! After the park, try one of our favorite Asian restaurants Aling’s Chinese Cuisine. Their succulent chicken lollipops are a must have!
