Family Fun in Sugar Land

Between school and busy schedules, spending quality family time together may be challenging, but in Sugar Land, it's easy! With most of Sugar Land's attractions, retail and dining destinations within a 10-minute drive of each other, you spend less time in the car and more time having fun!

At the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land, blast away to outer space at the Space Science exhibit, pretend to be a paleontologist at the Dig Pit or discover the mysteries of Earth throughout the museum. Stay tuned for all upcoming holiday events at the museum this season!

Kids can enjoy hands-on fun at the Fort Bend Children's Discovery Center located in historic Sugar Land. Visitors can participate in five highly immersive exhibits: Amazingly Immature, How Does it Work?, Tot Spot and Kidtropolis, USA. Children can explore the city and take roles at one of the local businesses, including the market, diner and much more. This realistic environment provides authentic opportunities to engage families.

How about some good old-fashioned competitive fun? Sugar Land boasts a wide selection of over 27 parks where families can play pick-up games of soccer, softball, broomball and more! Visitors can also try out "cool" indoor excitement at the Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center where having fun is a breeze. Lace up those skates and enjoy this winter activity all year long. Never skated before? No problem. Skate for fun during public sessions or enroll in skating sessions in advance to perfect the art of figure skating.

If you’re here for baseball season between April and September then you’re in for a treat beyond baseball at Constellation Field! Join the crowd for a family-friendly game and watch the Sugar Land Space Cowboys play America's favorite sport. Besides baseball, families can also delight in amenities like the space-themed playground and splash pad. Adults and kids can try their batting skills in the simulated baseball experience at Moonshot Alley. During the Fall season, experience their Centerfield Cinema and sit in the outfield to watch a movie with your chairs and picnic blankets.

Excessive amounts of fun, pretend-play and family activities can make you really hungry! Lucky for you, Sugar Land has a handful of family-friendly restaurants to choose from. The city has a variety of global cuisines on the menu like Japanese, Vietnamese, Tex-Mex American and beyond.
