When you arrive in Sugar Land, one of the best ways to relax is to make your way to Sugar Land Town Square. Have you ever wanted to try chicken & waffles? Head to the one-of-a-kind Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co. to help you satisfy that craving with their Southern Belle dish. For the feeling of Bourbon Street without having to travel to New Orleans, stop by The Rouxpour. The best of New Orleans cuisine is at your fingertips with a 14-foot raw oyster bar or any of their numerous po-boys.
Be sure to take a stroll around Sugar Land Town Square after dinner to see what all the shops have to offer. Many of these shops and boutiques are unique to Sugar Land and have great gifts for friends, family, or yourself! If you just want to take it easy, swing by the recently-renovated Sugar Land Town Square Plaza. This area hosts a number of events throughout the year, so be sure to check their calendar to see what’s going on while you are in town.

Fuel up for a full day of fun by visiting First Watch for all kinds of breakfast offers. Stay energized with their go-to dish, the Farmhouse Hash – two cage-free eggs any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, bacon, avocado, house-roasted onions, and tomatoes, cheddar and moneterey jack, served with whole grain artisan toast. It should definitely keep you on your toes for the first part of your day at the Sugar Land Heritage Museum where you’ll learn about the history of Sugar Land and everything there is to do in the city! If you happen to visit on the second Saturday of the month, then you can take part in the Heritage Hike, a historic walking tour of Old Sugar Land that starts at 10 a.m. at the Museum and lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours and covers about 1 to 1.5 miles.
After your visit to the Museum, and possibly a 1.5 mile walking tour, it’s definitely time for lunch. Try Live Oak Grill to satisfy any number of cravings you may have, like their Boss Hogg Burger or a good old Chicken Fried Steak. Now that you are recharged, head out to the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land. Learn about dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures in the Hall of Paleontology or examine huge mineral specimens and a collection of fossils in the Earth Science Exhibit. Be sure to visit the museum store to bring the wonders of the natural world home with you!
Dinner time is now fast approaching, so be sure to pick-up a hot pizza from nearby Pizza Parlor. Order ahead to make the next stop of your travels more convenient. With that delectable pizza in hand, head over to the Plaza Adjacent to Smart Financial Center at Sugar Land to enjoy your dinner. If there are no performances that night, the interactive fountain transforms into magnificent water shows with vibrant LED lighting. Shows occur at 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:30 pm. Each show contains its own variation of light and water sequences. What a great way to end the day!

On your last day in Sugar Land, it’s all about taking it easy. Fill up on a nice, hot breakfast at The Toasted Yolk. Your best bet is their Brisket Tacos, filled with lean brisket, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, and cheddar.
You’ll be able to shop to your heart’s content when you visit First Colony Mall. There over 100 stores and shops in and around the mall to check out so be sure not to spend too much time at each one or there won’t be time to see them all! All that shopping is bound to work up an appetite, so stop at any of the restaurants right outside the mall, like Black Walnut Cafe or Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet. Be sure to try out any of their delectable dishes for a quick lunchtime respite.
Before you go home, make a stop at The Sweet Boutique Bakery to pick up a sweet treat for the ride back home. Pick from a variety of cake pops, cupcakes, and macarons to commemorate your stay in the “Sweetest City in Texas!”
